About Us

Who We Are

The United States National Prayer Line exists for people who need prayer during real moments of life. Some reach out during loss. Others call while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next. Our role is simple. We listen, we pray, and we remain present.

This prayer line is available at any hour. Pain and fear do not follow a schedule, and support should not either. Whether someone calls once or reaches out many times, they are met with respect and care each time.

We are not here to lecture or rush conversations. We are here to offer prayer and calm support to those who ask for it.

Why This Prayer Line Exists

Many people struggle quietly. They may not feel ready to speak with friends, family, or professionals. Others feel more comfortable starting with prayer. We believe there should be a place where people can reach out without pressure or expectations.

The United States National Prayer Line was formed to fill that space. A place where people can speak freely. A place where silence is respected. A place where prayer is offered with care and patience.

We understand that every situation is different. Some calls are short. Others take time. Our focus is not on speed. It is about being present and treating each person with dignity.

How We Approach Prayer

Prayer looks different for everyone. Some people want someone to pray aloud with them. Others prefer quiet prayer. Some share a lot. Others share very little. All approaches are welcome.

When someone contacts us, they are not asked to explain themselves fully. They are not asked to prove anything. They are not pushed toward any outcome. Prayer is offered in a way that feels respectful and thoughtful.

We believe listening matters. We believe prayer should feel personal, not scripted. Each request is treated as its own moment.

Our Volunteers

Our volunteers are people who care deeply about listening and prayer. They come from different backgrounds, but they share a common goal. Be present. Be respectful. Take each request seriously.

Volunteers receive guidance on how to listen well and pray with care. They are encouraged to remain calm, patient, and focused on the person reaching out. This work requires attention and commitment, and we value the time our volunteers give.

If someone feels called to support others through prayer, we welcome them. Serving in this way is meaningful, but it also requires responsibility. We take that seriously.

Giving and Support

Running a 24-hour prayer line takes time and resources. Donor support helps keep this service available to people who need it most. Giving helps cover the cost of training, communication tools, and the time required to respond to requests with care.

Giving is always optional. Prayer is never withheld based on support. We believe generosity is a personal choice, and every contribution is appreciated.

Those who choose to give help ensure this prayer line remains available day and night.

Our Commitment to Care

We know that prayer is not a replacement for professional or emergency care. When someone needs immediate help, we encourage them to reach out to appropriate local or national services. Our role is to support through prayer, not to replace other forms of help.

We aim to act responsibly, respectfully, and honestly. Every person who reaches out deserves care that feels steady and safe.

The United States National Prayer Line exists to walk alongside people through prayer during moments that feel heavy, confusing, or uncertain.

TESTIMONIALS

What people share after reaching out

People contact us during many kinds of moments. Some are brief. Others stay with them for a long time. These words reflect what a few individuals chose to share about their experience with our prayer line.

A steady presence when it mattered

I called late at night and did not know what to say. The person on the line listened without interrupting and prayed with me in a way that felt calm and respectful. That alone helped me feel less overwhelmed.
